Medisonship is a 50 foot power catamaran that has been chosen and sent to the Solomon Islands to become a full time floating medical clinic.

It is a unique boat that is extremely stable in the water enabling it to handle very rough conditions but at the same time has the room to accommodate 12 permanent staff, large living room and galley areas, as well as having a huge top deck on which the nurses can carry out their clinical work. This makes this boat ideal for the work that it must accomplish in the Solomons.

It has been with great excitement that the It Is Written Medisonship has been prepared and re-furbished and after an eventful journey to the Solomons it is now equipped and fully prepared for its task.

It Is Written Oceania, a media ministry dedicated to reaching out to people and bringing the Gospel to all people in the South Pacific, is Sonship's main partner, and is thrilled to send out the Medisonship to people in remote areas.

We are extremely pleased to have It Is Written as our partner and look forward to a long and productive joint venture.

Of course the Medisonship has been a very expensive exercise for Sonship and we still have a large loan to repay to finalise the purchase of this boat.
