Sonship is a registered, not-for-profit incorporated entity in NSW, Australia. Its subsidiary in the Solomon Islands is also registered as a not-for-profit charity.
Sonship operate six medical boats, called Medisonships, that deliver free, regular, medical care and health education to people in the remote areas in the Western Solomon Islands. See “The Fleet” in the menu at the top of this page.
Many of the islands visited can only be reached by boat. Often medical care is out of reach for the people there.
Based in the beautiful and picturesque Meresu Cove, on Kolombangara Island, the boats embark from there to make regular voyages around the various islands.
In addition to free medical care and health education, Sonship also provide chaplaincy services to help people learn about the love and promises of Jesus.
